The evolution of Interior Design, through the study of the built environments of the past, can help make sense of the present. In building a visual literacy of interior style from past to present a student can better understand an approach to design. This course will review a selected chronology of Western European periods, the development of Interior style and furniture to provide the student a more comprehensive understanding of current trends.
