This course examines the operation of selected industrial processes and use of engineering tools and technical documents in instrumentation. Students will learn to identify the key operation parameters of the major industrial processes, apply project management techniques, create engineering drawings, and apply research skills and technical writing fundamentals to produce technical documents. Topics include: oil refining and upgrading, natural gas processing, power generation, pulp & paper operations, computer aided drafting, team building, project life cycle, project scheduling, technical writing and professional communications.
