The course provides a fundamental coverage of quality concepts. A study is made of precision measurement along with inspection techniques applied in a lab environment. The use of statistical techniques as a means of controlling production is also undertaken. The application of a Quality Management System (QMS) to enable companies to control product quality and meet the needs of its customers is studied.
