The capstone course is a concluding course of study in which students apply knowledge gained from previous courses to complete a given project. Elements of the project include features such as research, generating idea options, idea development, project time planning, component or process selection or design, detailed working drawings, process analysis, detailed cost estimates, proposal package and project presentation. A technical report is a major feature of the capstone course.
