Medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology are considered essential knowledge needed when working in a medical laboratory. Students will learn medical terminology used to communicate in the healthcare setting, as well as the structure and function of selected systems of the human body that apply to the Medical Laboratory Assisting Profession.
