Urinalysis and Quality Management

Requisites: This course is available to students in the Medical Laboratory Assisting program. Co-Requisites: SPAH1101, MELA1102, MELA1103, PHAE1105, MELT1107.

Students will be introduced to quality management and quality control processes used in a medical laboratory. Theoretical concepts and laboratory techniques required for the physical, chemical and microscopic evaluation of urine will also be studied. Correlation of urinalysis results and their clinical significance will be discussed.
