  • Requisites: This course is available to students in the Millwork and Carpentry program. Prerequisites: MILC1102. Co-requisites: MILC1212. A mark of 65% in each course is required to challenge the first period apprenticeship exam.

This course will focus on the components and hands on skills necessary to construct a residential building.The construction process will include but is not limited to building processes such as preliminary building layout, foundation and floor systems, wall construction, door and window installation, roof systems, exterior and interior finishes. Students will also develop their trade competencies by constructing carpentry related projects. An emphasis will be placed on professionalism and occupational health and safety standards.
