Patients in healthcare facilities depend highly on caregivers to initiate best practices to ensure their needs are met and their safety is protected. In this course, students will learn key concepts and principles relating to patient and family-centered care, patient assessment, as well as the fundamental elements specific to radiology; ethical practice, medico-legal issues, and medical accessory equipment safety in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) environment. Additionally, students will demonstrate skills in effective communication, patient management, infection control practices and patient transfer techniques.
