  • Requisites: This course is available to students in the Optical Sciences-Eyeglasses program. Prerequisites: OPSC1211, 1112, 1113, 1191. Co-requisites: OPSC1111, 1212, 1292. A completion grade of C in OPSC1112, OPSC1113 and OPSC1211 is required to enroll.

As an optician, you will analyze the glasses you make and those made by others. Therefore, you will need to determine lens power at any meridian, calculate the prismatic effect of a lens that has not been properly centered and compare any pair of eyeglasses to the standards of the ophthalmic dispensing industry.
