Students will apply treatment skills and techniques necessary to provide emergency care to trauma patients. Intravenous (IV) therapy, basic cardiovascular life support, splinting of fractures, wound care, and pharmacologic treatment will be included. Laboratory and simulation activities will reinforce these skills. International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) basic certification will be obtained within this course.
