This course challenges students to apply skills developed in earlier courses to plan, design and optimize drilling, completion and production methods for conventional and unconventional gas plays typical in Western Canada. Methods for optimizing gas wells using well testing data and NODAL analysis with industry specific software is practiced. Students design and specify liquid unloading methods on lower rate gas wells including velocity strings and plunger lift systems.
