Patients requiring mechanical ventilation can be suffering from a complex array of pathophysiological conditions. Students will examine the multi-system management of patients, from initiation of ventilation to liberation from mechanical ventilation. Students will apply previously taught ventilation tools and theory to the ventilatory management of restrictive and obstructive pulmonary diseases.
