Error analysis, principles of least squares, and adjustments. Use of matrix algebra involved in adjustment of observations. Apply the law of random error propagation to determine variance and covariance matrices. Conduct pre-analysis of survey measurements. Derive parametric and condition equations and formulate adjustment equations. Apply adjustment equations to survey control networks. Assessment of the quality of the adjustment solutions (variance factor, variance-covariance matrix, error ellipse).
