Gain a thorough understanding of processes — iron and manganese control, fluoridation, water softening, specialized treatment membrane filtration, handling treatment plant wastes, treatment plant maintenance. You will also learn about plant instruments, safety skills, drinking water regulations and administrative duties. Master the skills of testing water samples and calibration of lab equipment following QA/QC procedures. Chlorine (amperometric), conductivity, fluoride, Langlier Index, sulfate, total dissolved solids, and total organic carbon are the parameters water is analyzed for.
