This course covers the major mammalian groups of Canada with an emphasis on Alberta's species. The course will include species identification, taxonomy, life history, distribution, management, and selected diseases. Techniques for capturing, necropsy procedures, standard measurements, acoustic detection, and identification will be emphasized in the labs.
