In the TESL Practicum, students are required to complete two courses: the Observation Component and the Teaching Component. The Observation Component involves 10 hours of guided observation of Adult General ESL and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes. Students compile detailed reports for each session, reflecting on their growth as educators. Observation locations can be tailored to students' preferences and conducted online or on-campus, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Completion of a 120-hour TESL course is a prerequisite. The Teaching Component involves 10 hours of planning and delivering instructional lessons in ESL. Dedicated supervising instructors provide constructive feedback and recommendations for further development. Completion of the observation component is a prerequisite for the Teaching component.

The 50-hour TESL Practicum program involves two components. The first-- the Observation Component-- spans 30 hours and provides practicum students with the opportunity to experience Adult General ESL and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes while refining their teaching skills through guided observation. Trainees observe experienced instructors, compile detailed reports for reflective growth as educators, and submit them to the practicum supervisor. Observation locations can be tailored to students' preferences and conducted online or on-campus, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Completion of a 250-hour TESL course is a prerequisite for this section. The second component, the Teaching Component, consists of 20-hours in which students plan and deliver lessons in ESL and EAP classes. Dedicated supervising instructors provide constructive feedback and recommendations to enhance participants' competence in ESL instruction. Completion of the observation component is a prerequisite for the Teaching component.
