How To Apply
To enrol in the full-time or part-time ESL Day program, visit the Continuing Education Department in Room W111 in HP Centre on the NAIT Main Campus.
Prior to enrollment, all ESL students are required to take a PLACEMENT TEST. The purpose of the test is to determine the student's level.
If you are intending to study ESL at NAIT and live outside of Canada, please contact the Student Success Contact Centre toll-free at 1.877.333.NAIT (1.877.333.6248). Please send email enquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have program specific questions about ESL at NAIT, please contact us at email@example.com or 780. 471.7499.
For international students who wish to receive a Letter of Acceptance to obtain a Study Permit, please fill in the “Intent to Study ESL form' and email to firstname.lastname@example.org Also attached are the “How to Complete the Intent to Study ESL form” for your information, and the “Disclosure of Personal Information form”, if you have someone assisting you with the forms.
To learn if you have the minimum languages skills required to take courses in the ESL program, you can take a free CLB online self-assessment to assess your language proficiency in reading and listening. If you score lower than a CLB 3, you may not have the language skill level necessary to enter NAIT’s ESL program. All students are required to take a formal ESL placement test when they arrive at NAIT.
