G Wing at Main Campus is expected to be closed for several weeks following a fire last week
Shortly before 11 a.m. on Feb. 10, a fire was reported in a second-floor lab in G Wing. G Wing and surrounding areas were evacuated, and classes in those areas were cancelled. All areas of Main Campus, with the exception of G Wing, were re-opened later that day.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is currently being investigated. NAIT staff worked through the weekend to ensure disruption to students and staff was minimal.
Students with classes in G Wing have been notified directly, by email, of their class schedules and locations. More information pertaining to the scheduling of classes for the remainder of the week will be provided to students and staff by the end of the day.
