Chris Jeon
Event Lead
Chris has spent over 10 years at NAIT, contributing to a variety of roles across the organization, including many years in Conference and Event Services. With a degree in Hotel & Resort Management and a NAIT diploma in Hospitality Management, he blends industry knowledge with hands-on expertise to plan and execute many internal and external events. Through thoughtful coordination and practical solutions, he ensures each event is well-executed and achieves its goals.
Erin Greaves
Event Lead
After completing her Travel & Tourism Diploma, Erin found her passion for events and event planning after many years of owning her own travel agency that specialized in destination weddings and group travel. Erin has worked with many hospitality partners throughout the years, giving her a strong background in corporate and social events. She thrives on growing client relationships to ensure their full event visions are brought to life. Erin’s focus at NAIT is on external clients and she loves how events have a way of bringing people together and fostering relationships.
Hannah Whittaker
Event Lead
With a BA in Design for Theatre and Television, Hannah has been working in the events and theatre industries both locally and internationally for almost 20 years. Most recently Hannah was the Events Specialist at Edmonton Public Library where she was responsible for the award-winning Grand Opening of the revitalized Stanley A. Milner Library. She also acted as the Program Lead for the Holy Mass at Commonwealth Stadium during the Pope's 2022 historic visit. Hannah has served on the Board of the Edmonton Chapter of the International Live Events Association and is currently a member of the Event Safety Alliance Canada.
Hazzel Green
Audio Visual Event Specialist
Hazzel is a passionate multimedia professional with an educational background in Fine Arts and Photography. With years of hands-on experience as an AV Technician, Stage Manager and Video Director, she always strives to create engaging and seamless audio-visual experiences for events. Known for her growing technical skills and attention to detail, Hazzel brings a personal touch to event management and multimedia production. It is this nuanced approach and excellent work ethic that makes her projects stand out.
Lauren Malchuk
Administrative Assistant
Lauren is an Administrative Assistant with extensive experience supporting executive leaders and teams. She has a strong background in administrative technology and event support and plays a key role with the Conference and Event Services team at NAIT. Lauren holds an Administrative Assistant Diploma from MacEwan University and an Event Management Certificate from NAIT. She is recognized for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and creativity in design and digital communications.
Nina Browton
Event Lead
Nina is a seasoned event professional with extensive experience in large-scale event management, project coordination, and operational leadership. She leads flagship recruitment events such as NAIT Open House and Program Previews, along with internal initiatives that foster engagement across the campus community. Her career spans cultural, civic, and international projects, including leadership roles with the International Children’s Festival, the City of St. Albert, and the IAAF World Championships in Athletics. Known for her collaborative style and strategic expertise, Nina is passionate about delivering seamless, memorable events that make a lasting impact.
Tracy Waritsky
Business Operations Manager
Tracy has over 15 years of progressive leadership experience at NAIT, including roles as coordinator, executive chef, and assistant manager. She holds her Blue Seal certification along with project management and leadership certificates. With extensive experience in events and hospitality, Tracy brings both expertise and passion to her work. She has been instrumental in developing and strengthening Conference and Event Services, helping shape it into a highly respected team known for delivering successful, well-executed events that consistently meet organizational goals and exceed expectations.
