Entrance Requirements

Are you ready to apply?

When choosing a NAIT credit, non-credit or apprenticeship program, it's important to know what you'll need to get into – and be successful in – your program.

In addition to academic requirements, NAIT programs have additional requirements and considerations that you will need to fulfil for successful admission into the program. Make sure to read the admission requirements carefully before applying.

Academic Requirements

To help you succeed, NAIT sets important academic requirements you will need to fulfill to gain entry into your program.

Competitive Entrance

Some programs have competitive entrance requirements that applicants must meet for admittance into their program of choice.

English Language Proficiency

NAIT's official language of instruction is English. As such, you'll need to show that you can read, write and verbally communicate in the language.

Calculate your Grades or GPA

Find out how to calculate your grades using the alpha (letter grade) system or 4-point grade point average scale.

Additional requirements and considerations

Some programs at NAIT have requirements outside of academics. Examples of these requirements could include access to technology, physical fitness or membership within a professional organization.
