Programs designed for industry,
led by industry experience
The JR Shaw School of Business harnesses the power of a polytechnic providing relevant, multi-disciplinary business education integrated with industry partnerships and technology. We are among the first in North America to offer trades and technology to degree pathways that provide opportunities for students with a variety of credentials to enter their third year of business degree studies directly.
We are the first polytechnic to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Recognition Program, and we partner to offer credentials in other professional designations and industry certifications.
Throughout your education, you'll learn from instructors with years of industry experience and be immersed in real-world training. The skills and knowledge you'll gain is highly sought after by employers and proven to be effective in the world of entrepreneurship.
Whether your study preference is daytime, evening, weekends or online — we have an educational path that can work with your schedule.
Interested in taking business classes but not ready to enrol in a full program? Open Studies is a flexible option that allows you to take NAIT credit courses without applying to a program.

We can review your academic standing and prior postsecondary credit to find the best available entryway into any of our business programs.
Many of our students transfer prior education or work experience to get advance standing in our programs. This may be through our Trades to Degrees pathway for Journeyperson trade professionals, or through our Canadian Forces experience recognition pathway. If you're looking to enrol without the necessary high school academic requirements, there is open studies first term entry or business foundations certificate through NAIT Continuing Education.
