The Office of the Registrar at NAIT evaluates students’ eligibility to graduate according to an approved program by the Ministry of Advanced Education in Alberta.
Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a NAIT credential (Degree, Applied Degree, Diploma, or Certificate). Upon successful completion of all requirements, the Registrar’s Office will issue a parchment confirming the earned credential.
Students must meet the program requirements in effect at the time of their admission. Further information can be found on the program webpage and/or program specific handbooks/learning guides.
Students with advanced credits must meet the minimum residency requirement by completing at least fifty percent (50%) of the credits required for their program at NAIT.
Students must have a minimum Graduation GPA of 2.0. The Graduation GPA requirement does not apply to students admitted into their current certificate or diploma program prior to July 1, 2017. All students in a degree or applied degree must have a Graduation GPA of 2.0 unless they commenced/restarted their studies before July 1, 2013.
