International students starting at NAIT in the fall will get a special introduction to life on campus during four days of learning and fun
The Newcomer Booster event runs August 20 to 23, offering sessions on topics that include public speaking, writing for post-secondary, working in groups, navigating social media and applying for permanent residency in Canada. The event wraps up with games and a field trip to Hawrelak Park on Thursday.
Media are invited to talk to some of the students and NAIT’s manager of international programs and services about the event.

12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (media can talk to students on their lunch break from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., then see them in a session about intercultural awareness from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
