Teens aged 12 to 15 from the Alexander First Nation will get a taste of careers in welding at NAIT camps this week and next
About 10 students are attending each of the two camps, which are funding by TransCanada through a partnership with CWB Welding Foundation, a non-profit group that supports education in the welding industry.
Students will work on a series of welding projects through the week, with a BBQ lunch and celebration Friday including a blessing from NAIT elder Walter Bonaise.
