Almost 200 students from Edmonton and surrounding communities will compete at the annual Edmonton Regional Science Fair, hosted by NAIT
A combined eight participants from the junior and senior categories will move on to the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Ottawa next month.
This annual event showcases the variety of scientific research carried out and developed by students in grades 4 to 12, with plenty of great photo ops. Participants and organizers will be available for media interviews on both days.
The goal of the science fair is to get young people interested in the research process at an early age, promoting scientific inquiry and critical thinking. The projects will be judged by scientists working in industry and education.
