Course Overview
All managers are decision makers. If you have responsibility for the work performance of another person, then you also have responsibility for the decisions this individual makes. Successful leadership requires the ability to make effective decisions that are also ethically sound. Without sound decisions in alignment with organizational objectives, it becomes very difficult to operate effectively as a leader. However, decisions are often not easy to make as competing demands and ambiguities make effective decision making challenging.
This course will include relevant theory combined with interactive group discussions, case studies, practical exercises, and activities in which participants will apply the decision-making tools and frameworks presented. Upon successfully completing this course, you will be able to use a process for decision-making and increase your awareness of characteristics that influence the decision process to make you a better decision maker.
