Course Overview

Explore the uses of one of the most versatile power tools – the router! Learn how to use a router to round over and chamfer edges of a board and create accurate mortises, tenons, dadoes, and raised panel doors. Discover what to look for when buying a router, differences in router bits, and how to use a handheld router and router table. Create a project in class using a router provided, or use your own personal router, which you are encouraged to bring to class. With the skills acquired in this course, you will be able to safely use a handheld router for a variety of projects.
