Course Overview
AutoCAD is computer-aided design (CAD) software that architects, engineers, and construction professionals rely on to create precise 2D and 3D drawings. Graduates of this course will be able to use AutoCAD to create basic drawings.
With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to explain the purpose of CAD systems in industry and describe common AutoCAD terminology and functions. You will be able to start AutoCAD and explain the user interface and basic file commands. You will also be able to use your knowledge of geometric construction techniques to draw shapes that involve lines, circles, and rectangles using AutoCAD.
If you are unfamiliar with Windows Desktop Operating System, it is recommended that you complete CCTO101 prior to taking this course.
