Smart contracts are helping to build the new digital infrastructure of the 21st Century supply chain. These automated, programmable agreements are modernizing how products are tracked and traded across borders, with exciting use cases for emissions management, product certifications, insurance, and streamlining complex vendor relationships. Delve into the foundational knowledge of smart Contracts. Explore, discuss, and analyze smart contract applications in the supply chain field, including the underlying technologies, leading use cases, and considerations for technology adoption. With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to analyze smart contract applications in supply chain management.

Please note that this course involves blended delivery, requiring 8 hours of self-paced online work plus three 2-hour instructor-led virtual classes.

  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
