Course Overview
An infographic is a compilation of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to create infographics with clear and contrasting typography.
Graduates of this course will be able to create a vector illustration from a raster image in a minimalist style, describe how to make data-driven charts using Adobe Illustrator, describe advanced path-finding and vector illustrative techniques, and illustrate how to create clear and communitive typography. You will also be able to describe graphic design concepts that communicate your message and data, discuss interesting ways to correlate your data to your infographic beyond the traditional charts, and demonstrate how to complete an infographic project from start to finish. From pie charts to advanced vectorization of raster images, create data-driven charts and 3D tools to enhance the aesthetics of an infographic.
Required: Please ensure you have completed CCTD115 Illustrator I and CCTD216 Visual Design before registering for this course.
