Course Overview

Implement the concepts and theories of Local Area Networks to design, document, troubleshoot, and monitor your IT networks. With the skills you gain this course, you will be able to design and plan local area and wireless networks.

Graduates of this course will be able to design and build a LAN and set up an 802.11 wireless network. Graduates will also be able to apply troubleshooting strategies to resolve network issues and discover the impact of running additional services and tools on network performance. You will also have the skills to investigate TCP/IP IPv6 addressing, DNS, DHCP, and NAP.

Prior to enrolling in this course, it is recommended that you complete CCTM170 Network Fundamentals or an equivalent course or have related practical experience.
