Course Overview

Are you a believer that marketing has changed, and a digital mindset is key to staying relevant? Are you looking to increase your organization’s reach and traction through digital efforts? Whether you are a professional looking to add digital skills to your toolset, working in a customer-facing or data-driven customer role, or simply want to build a strong digital knowledge base, then this course is for you. This self-paced, six-hour, foundational course will provide core tactics and techniques, and will set the stage for continued learning in the DMI Track program.

You will have 12 weeks to complete the course work which is followed by a 45-minute online exam that, upon successful completion, results in Certified Digital Marketing Association certification through the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI). A six-month membership with DMI is also included in your tuition, providing you with access to their comprehensive resources.

This course delivers the digital marketing knowledge and material you’ll need for the Digital Marketing Institute Tracks exam. Upon completing the course, you will write the DMI-administered online exam. This course is offered by NAIT in partnership with Digital Marketing Institute (DMI). Assessment and grading are through DMI and you will receive marks from them.

  • Hyflex: Where: Choice to attend in-person or online meetings. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. For each class, students choose to attend in-person with the instructor or online at a specific time.
  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.
  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
