Course Overview
Exceptional leaders use their knowledge, skills, experience, and reputation to influence people and workplace initiatives. Influence is the capacity to engage, connect, and inspire others to change their behaviour in the desired way. Influential leaders, however, inspire, convince, and encourage in addition to command. Leaders draw out the expertise and abilities of a group, guide people toward a common objective and consensus, and inspire a commitment to get things done.
You will be able to apply strategies to enhance employee engagement, operational effectiveness, safety performance, and resource allocation. When applying influencing abilities and preparing a strategy, leaders must be aware of why they are acting in a certain way and be clear about their beliefs, goals, and perspective. In this approach, influencing others has the most significance and comes from a place of authenticity.
