Course Overview
This module is to instruct participants how to develop a basic employee competence profile and to identify what may be missing that would prevent the employee from attaining competence.
Before we can understand how an employee can be assessed against a specific standard, we need to understand how that employee is meant to reach that standard. If becoming assessed as competent is the goal for the employee, then developing a competence profile outlines the path they need to take to get there. When the standard is compared against the current available training and documentation, can it be said that the existing material is adequate? Does more documentation or training need to be developed?
Participants will be building on the standard that was developed in the previous class.
Outcome: Develop an employee competence profile based on gap analysis.
Upon completion of this module, the participant should be able to:
1. Interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
2. Create an outline of an assessment guiding document;
3. Choose what documentation and/or training is required;
4. Perform a basic gap analysis; and
5. Create a competence profile.
