Course Overview

Discover how to train Subject Matter Experts to become assessors. Determine the requirements to prepare, perform, evaluate and verify a competency assessment. In this course, participants will discuss evaluations of an employee’s readiness and what defines acceptable evidence. Explore methods of dealing with difficult people and perform a mock interview and assessment.

With the skills gained in this course, you'll be able to formulate reasonable criteria for the selection of assessors, guide, and orient competence assessors; identify and interpret acceptable evidence; perform and verify an assessment; and complete assessment documentation.

  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
