Course Overview

The actions of an occupational health and safety technician in Canada should be guided by OHS Law and Legislation. It is important to apply relevant legislation to guide decisions concerning worker safety, but when there are decisions that need to be made, both with undesirable results, those decisions may be difficult to make. Delve into the laws regarding safety in Canada, along with a general overview of ethical theories. With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to describe the laws and acts that guide occupational health and safety in Canada.

It is required that you complete CRST102 before enrolling in this course.

It is recommended that you work in safety and/or have access to the expertise of a safety professional before enrolling in this course. This course is intended to enhance your connection between theory and industry practice.
