Course Overview

Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) use computer technology for the design and machining of workpieces. Students who successfully complete this intermediate-level course will be able to create 2D CAD geometric drawings, generate drilling and milling tool paths, tooling lists, cutting parameters, and machining simulations, and implement post-processing.

Mastercam is the most widely used CAM software worldwide and is a common choice among Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programmers.
