Course Overview
Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) training course is the first step toward a career in Industrial Radiography. Define the properties of matter, radiation and radioactivity, radiation units, radiation measurements and detection. Recognize safety requirements relating to biological effects of radiation, controlling radiation exposure, gamma ray exposure devices, emergency operating procedures, and Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) regulations.
With the skills gained in this course, you will be better prepared for CNSC certification. The CEDO training course is designed to meet the requirements of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Document PCP-09.
Required before enrollment:
1) Math (MATE555 or NDTC200) Effective October 2, 2017, prior to taking any NDT training courses all students will be required to either successfully complete the NAIT math skills test or provide evidence acceptable to NAIT that you have successfully passed a math examination administered by an NDTCB Recognized Training Organization (RTO)
