Course Overview
Engage in the POCUS Fundamentals micro-credential and unravel foundational principles of ultrasound scanning. As ultrasound technology continues to evolve, healthcare professionals need ongoing education to stay current with the latest advancements. Point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS) allows for immediate imaging, reducing the reliance on centralized imaging facilities and expediting the diagnostic process. With the knowledge and skills gained in this course, you will be able to explain the principles of ultrasound physics, identify the different transducer types, list and explain the ultrasound machine settings and modes, and describe ultrasound safety principles. Upon successful completion of the competency assessment, you will earn a NAIT Microcredential and receive a Digital Badge you can share on social media and with your network.
