Course Overview
Medical Practitioners are often confronted with clinical uncertainty that requires further diagnostic evaluation to reason between differential diagnoses. This course addresses the need for quick, bedside assessments, reduces reliance on traditional imaging methods, enhances clinical skills, and improves patient care across various medical settings. Differentiate between normal and pathological findings of the abdominopelvic. With the knowledge and skills gained in this course, you will be able to identify the principles and techniques for bedside ultrasound imaging of the abdominopelvic peritoneal cavity and the great vessels. Upon successful completion of the competency assessment, you will earn a NAIT Microcredential and receive a Digital Badge you can share on social media and with your network.
Within the province of Alberta, sonography is a restricted practice. Only students from a regulated health profession that are authorized to perform point-of-care ultrasound are eligible to enroll in and attend this course.
