Course Overview
Successful project management requires clear and open communications between all stakeholders. The systematic planning, applying, examining and consistent improving of communications is essential to the success of your project. This course will provide you those skills.
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to develop and manage a communications plan across the key stages of the project lifecycle.
As project manager it is essential that you create a communications plan to ensure all project stakeholders have the information they need to ensure the project is on time and on budget. The plan will define who sends and receives specific information, when that information is shared, and what channels will be used to deliver the information.
The skills obtained in this course will ensure you place emphasis on developing practical communications skills, explore means to listen effectively, and examine how to reduce barriers to effective
communications within your team and with your stakeholders. Interpersonal communications skills for project managers will also be introduced along with methods of managing project conflicts through effective communications.
As a project manager the competencies learned in the course will ensure you have the skills to introduce feedback systems that work and recognize the skills needed to communicate with different project stakeholders. You will also be able to recognize the differences between formal and informal communications, and realize written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
