Course Overview

Explore the structure and function of water distribution systems as essential infrastructure for communities. Water distribution systems are an integral part of the planning of new communities, and must be monitored and maintained to ensure pressure and quality. This course focuses on system components—including pipes, valves, hydrants, and storage facilities—and examines the responsibilities of water distribution operators. You will investigate key procedures such as pipe installation, inspection program development, and water quality monitoring.

With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to evaluate water distribution system performance and support effective operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
