Course Overview

Wastewater treatment incorporates the knowledge of plant processes, operations, and maintenance. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to describe activated sludge in conventional wastewater treatment plant operations, the handling of solids, and effluent disposal.

Graduates of this course will be able to describe water treatment plant safety and equipment maintenance procedures. The skills obtained from this course will also allow you to describe flow measuring devices, and to prepare and analyze wastewater treatment plant data.

  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.
  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
