Chris Fukushima

Chris Fukushima has worked at NAIT since 2015 as the Ombudsperson and the Employee Resolution Consultant working to address a conflicts in the NAIT community. Chris worked at the University of Alberta in the residence system helping his team to build resilient communities that addressed conflict through restorative practices and leadership development. He has been a part time instructor in the Conflict Resolution and Negotiation Certificate since 2018.

Chris studied leadership at Royal Roads University and completed a Master of Arts Integrated Studies with a focus on Work, Organization, and Leadership at the University of Athabasca. He has also had training on a variety of alternative dispute resolution processes and has a particular interest in restorative justice.

On a personal note, Chris has a incredible wife, two kids, and three cats that he loves very much. They like to go on adventures big and small, cook, make things, and spend time together as a family.
