Dr. Yadu Prabhakar, Ph.D., P.Eng., PMP.

Dr. Yadu Prabhakar is a Robotics and Industrial Automation instructional facilitator at NAIT with more than 7 years of teaching experience in PLCs, Process Automation, Robotics, Project leadership, Project management and an extensive experience in industrial research. He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer engineering and a PhD in Intelligent Vision Systems from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Rouen Normandie, France, specializing in Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and developing computer algorithms.

Yadu gained much experience in Germany by taking Mechatronics training from Siemens. He is a certified Siemens Instructor for SITRAIN (Siemens Training Center) and SMSCP (Siemens Mechatronics Siemens Certification Program) which aligns with NAIT being a certified SITRAIN Center and Siemens Mechatronics Academy.

He is currently the Program Coordinator for Trades and Technology portfolio for NAIT's Continuing Education Department. He is leading the development of the Mechatronics courses by collaborating with various subject matter experts and other professionals and updating curriculum in PLC and Automation for Online delivery at NAIT.

To keep NAIT’s courses current and relevant, Yadu conforms to industry requirements for training in PLCs, Process Automation, Industrial and Robotics. His enthusiasm, passion and attention to details in teaching, giving real world examples of application spills over to his students as he coaches them to success in Industrial Automation and Controls courses offered by the department of Continuing Education at NAIT.
