Kristen Deuzeman is a Certified Emergency Manager and Registered Psychologist who is the Portfolio Manager for Professional Best Practices at NAIT’s Centre for Applied Disaster and Emergency Management. Operationally she has served as Operations Chief during the Wabasca Fire in 2015; Deputy Operations Chief and Air Operations during the Horse River Fire in 2016; and Situation Unit Leader during the Alberta Spring Flooding in 2018.

Equipped with considerable post-secondary lecturing and corporate training experience, Kristen believes that continuous development and self-awareness is essential to one’s ability to enhance performance and serve others.
