Rae-Anne Wadey, AET, Journeyman Electrician

Rae-Anne Wadey is an Instructor in NAIT’s Alternative Energy Technology Diploma Program and teaches Solar Photovoltaic courses for NAIT’s Continuing Education Department. She has earned an Alternative Energy Technology diploma from NAIT and is nearing completion on a BTech degree. Additionally, Rae-Anne has a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Ticket and years of on-the-ground expertise as an electrician. She loves educating and has a passion for sharing knowledge.
From 2013 to 2019, Rae-Anne worked as an electrician specializing in solar PV. She has worked on over 3 MW of solar PV in Alberta from small scale to megawatt scale projects. From her experience with initial client consultation to design, permitting and project hand-off, Rae-Anne’s wide range of expertise helps students understand the details of the solar PV industry.
Rae-Anne is highly skilled at developing and instructing Solar Photovoltaic (PV) courses and weaves her professional experience into her lessons, providing students with a unique understanding of solar photovoltaic technology.
