Course Overview
Gain hands-on experience working with the world's most widely used database management system, Microsoft's SQL Server. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to perform administration tasks in a Microsoft SQL Server.
Microsoft SQL Server is used to store and retrieve data requested by other applications. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to install, configure, and maintain an SQL Server instance, identify key components of the SQL Server, create databases and tables, and complete administration tasks with the SQL Server Management Studio. You will also be able to import and export data in flat-file format, work with scripts, backup and restore SQL Server databases, and use Microsoft Access to interact with an SQL database.
It is recommended that you be familiar with the administration of a Windows server environment. Experience with other database systems is beneficial but not required.
