Course Overview

Explore the evolution of data warehousing from traditional to modern architectures. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to plan and provide architectural recommendations for the implementation of modern data warehouse solutions.

Data warehousing integrates multi-structured data from one or more sources so it can be compared and analyzed for more robust business intelligence and analytics. It includes the process of collecting, storing, and managing data in a centralized manner to provide useful business insights. Graduates of this course will be able to describe data warehouse solutions, create data models for warehouse solutions, and recommend technologies for implementing data warehouse solutions.

With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to describe current challenges in processing multi-structured data and how to respond to near-real time demands when using streaming data. You will also be able to describe technologies and practices such as cloud computing for cost-effective management of data processing and storage.
