Course Overview

Data engineering has captured the attention of industry and organizations. More than simply moving data from A to B to C, it transforms data into its bronze, silver, and gold versions for the creation of data engineering products. It maximizes the use of cloud infrastructure by properly managing computing and storage resources. And it minimizes the cost of the data platform operations while meeting technical and business needs in a timely manner. With the skills gained in this fourth course in the Data Engineering program, you will be able to apply principles and design patterns and practices for the development of processes that refine data that can then be used to derive business insights and provide decision makers with actionable information.

It is recommended that you complete CCTB673 and have experience with computer programming (preferably Python coding), data architecture, data modeling, and databases before enrolling in this course.
